Smells great, cleans great
This is the only carpet cleaner I'll use. It beats other cleaners that bring the wet dog odor out. The lavender scent lingers in the carpet for a while after the carpet is cleaned.

Good quality handvac for the money
This handvac did okay for me, which was to help me clean up cat litter and dust off our hardwood floor.

Its quite loud when use, but its probably make the same noise as other handvac. The exhaust is located on the side, which is nice so you don't get hot air blow to ur face. The clear, plastic tip is also use as the collection cup for the debris, which can be un-clip and empty over the garbage. It also comes with a wall-mounted holder which can be put together with the charger, so each time you put away the vac it automatically charges the battery.

The thing I don't like about the vac was the vac mouth only opened in the middle and not side-to-side, which means it only pick up things when its at the middle of the tip. So you really have to aim for them to get it off the floor. The power button must be pressed continously during use, also no indicator light to show you whether its charging or not.

7.2 volt is okay, but if I had to buy it again I'd definitely get a 14 volt for a more powerful suction.

Answer to your pet hair problem and then some!
I have 5 pets and hair in my home is a constant problem. I've owned bissell before and wanted another vacuum specifically for pet hair. Bissell offers this vacuum at a reaonable price and is quite affordable.

After quickly assembling the vacuum (I believe 3 screws total) and placement of the accessories, I was ready to go. There is an accessory you lower to actually pull up the hair before it is sucked up. Great!
The accessories are very friendly to your staircase (and wood areas) with rubber tips. They have great suction as well.

Only one negative comment, if you leave the vacuum on carpet while you use the attachments with the hose, it is so powerful it will actually LIFT up your carpet, so be careful to mind it.

All in all, one of the best vacuums I've purchased!

Dust be gone!
I've had this vacuum over a month now and it has done a great job of removing dust. The whole house feels a lot cleaner. The down side, however, is that the air filter needs to be cleaned often, which is messy due to all the fine dust. Other observations:

Pluses:
- powerful suction
- filters fine dust particles
- light weight
- bright headlamp
- great price!

Minuses:
- filter needs cleaning often
- rotating brush doesn't disengage when using hand tools
- hand tools are flimsy
- a bit loud

Poorly Designed Product
I've tried this product and the Capture Plus and both had the same problem. First, the dusting brush is absolutely pointless, does not work at all so I'd recommend saving time and using your Swiffer Duster. The "Paw" really is not that great either as it does not have the best suction. The vacuum itself does not seem to pick up larger dirt all that well, for instance spilled salt, coffee, or baking soda off the floor, or gravel/dirt from outside. If you vacuum over that type of mess it kind of just throws the dirt around, it even hurts your bare legs because it's throwing dirt up at you.

The thing that made me return this model and the Capture Plus is that pet hair got caught in the corners of the roller, the bearing overheated and started to melt the roller! Went on their website and did not find that part to be replaceable (plus, would you want to replace a roller on practically a monthly basis due to poor design?) This happened with rather LIGHT usage, I would vacuum maybe once a week, and I have had this model for about 2 months. And my house really is not even that bad, I only have one dog and one cat. Save yourself money, time and grief and pass on this product. This vacuum is certainly NOT made to handle pet hair!
